Approximately 31% of plastic bottles produced in the United States are made from a material called PolyEthylene Terephtalate, dubbed PET.

According to NAPCOR, in 2005 US manufacturers produced 5.075 billion pounds of PET products. With such high production rates it makes finding uses for post-consumer plastics imperative. If the current rate of manufacturing and consumer recycling remain 40 billion pounds of PET waste will be added to our landfills within the next decade. For every yard of recycled Poly made we are keeping 8 plastic bottles out of a landfill.

Recycled Poly is soft, durable and wicks moisture. We are excited to be using this recycled fiber developed by forward-thinking mills in our products.
