Bamboo Carbon fiber, called “Black Gold” by those in the industry, just might be one of the world’s most sustainable resources. Categorized as a grass and not a tree, bamboo does not require replanting after harvesting because its vast root network continually sprouts new shoots, pulling in sunlight and greenhouse gases and converting them to new green growth.

The structure of bamboo carbon fibers makes bamboo fabrics more breathable and thermal regulating than cotton or synthetic fabrics. Naturally resistant to ultraviolet rays, bamboo carbon is also highly absorbent, adjusting well to both humidity and dryness.

The energy used to make polyester from recycled PET bottles is significantly less than what is needed for virgin polyester. It also keeps tons of bottles out of landfills. All of this can help us to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels.
